The Lung Network

Respiratory, Lung Disease, Lung Cancer Resources

Welcome to the Lung Network.

The Lung Network is a network of free resources available to anyone, anywhere seeking information on one of the body’s key  organs The lungs.  Lungs are integral organs in the organ system known as the respiratory system.

The lungs are protected by the rib cage, which is made up of 12 sets of ribs. These ribs are connected to the spine  and go around your lungs to keep them safe. Beneath the lungs is the diaphragm a dome-shaped muscle that works with the lungs to allow  inhaling (breathing in) and exhaling (breathing out).

One of the biggest worries amongst people that have been directly or indirectly (through family members) exposed to asbestos is Mesothelioma Lung Cancer. It is The Lung Network’s objective to inform the public about many types of lung diseases, but the current main focus is placed upon the severity of asbestos exposure resulting cancer. Over the passed 50 years hundred of thousands of people have been effected by asbestos exposure, it is important that the public become completely aware of treatments, support and their legal rights.
